WHY Music Series

Unleashing the Power of Music to Transform Humanity

As part of a commitment to help people better understand the mysterious power of music and how it can be used to shape the future of humanity, EarthTones Founder Frank Fitzpatrick launched a series for the Huffington Post called WHY Music.

• WHAT (is it?)

  Part of the WHY Music awareness campaign, the WHY Music Series began as a 10-part collection of articles introducing topics such as the impact of Music on the Brain, Creativity, Education, Health & Wellness, Performance, Film & Media, Personal Empowerment, Community Building and World Peace. Since its launch, it has grown into an ongoing column in The Huffington Post, with numerous featured articles in other publications such as Kid Spirit Magazine, “Love Live Forgive” by Justin St. Vincent, LA Yoga magazine, and HelpGuide.org. The information and stories in the series have been expanded upon and supported by a number of live talks and workshops.

  By unveiling many of the mysteries behind music’s undeniable impact on our emotions, perceptions, cognitive development, relationships and health and wellbeing, the WHY Music Series aims to empower millions of readers with the knowledge and understanding to integrate music into their lives in new and transformative ways. By shifting society’s perceptions and increasing awareness around the untapped value and benefits of music, we aim to increase the support and funding for music programs in the areas we need it most – like education and health care.
