Even from an early age, the Faussart sisters have used their experiences living in Africa and the Bordeaux region of France as inspiration for music and poetry. Their first album, Princesses Nubiennes was released in 1998, with the single “Makeda” bringing Les Nubians to the top of the U.S. charts. With their second album, One Step Forward, the group progressed to an even greater level of achievement with a Grammy nomination for the song “Je Veux D’la Musique.” Since their formation, the pair has released four critically acclaimed albums, establishing them as one of the most successful French-language groups in decades. Les Nubians’ most recent album, Nü Revolution, was released in Fall 2010. The sisters continue to bring their incredible live performances and selfless charitable efforts all over the world.
