Featured Project: Urban Roots

Urban Roots is a documentary film from Tree Media (11th Hour) following the urban farming phenomenon in Detroit. Urban Roots is a timely and emotionally moving work that speaks to a nation grappling with collapsed industrial towns and the need to forge a sustainable and prosperous future.

Whole Foods Market, the leading retailer of natural and organic foods, featured Urban Roots in 70 cities across the nation as the opening film for it’s Do Something Reel film festival.

The film also features an inspiring original soundtrack from EarthTones founder and Detroit native, Frank Fitzpatrick and a collection of talented artists committed to supporting the cause.

A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the DVD will help fund the Farms in Schools program. For additional info about the Urban Roots project, please click HERE.
